Rubrum Grass
Rubrum, also known as purple fountain grass, is a popular drought-tolerant grass that forms a tidy, dense clump of purplish maroon blades topped with red plumes. This plant is beautiful as a landscape specimen or when planted in groups. A herbaceous perennial grass in mild winter regions, rubrum provides quick annual color in any climate!
Rubrum should be planted in a location that receives full sun. Drought-tolerant, it performs best in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Once the plant is established, water occasionally, doing so more in extreme heat or containers. Hardiness zones range from 8-11.
