Plectranthus

Plectranthus

  • Plectranthus is a vigorous, upright, rounded, bushy perennial that typically grows to 2’ tall and 2’ wide. This plant is primarily grown for its attractive lavender flowers which appear over a long bloom period. Tubular, two-lipped, lavender flowers bloom in spikes to 6” long while glossy, ovate, dark green leaves are purplish below. It is considered to be drought-tolerant, and thus makes an ideal choice for a low-water garden or xeriscape application.

  • Grow your plectranthus in partial shade and in humusy, well-drained soil. These plants grow best with regular and even moisture. Hardiness zones range from 10-11.
