Oenothera, also known as evening primrose, displays large, goblet-like, pink flowers — each bloom containing 4 petals. Oenothera 'Siskiyou' is a rapidly spreading perennial plant that makes an attractive, deciduous ground cover.
Oenotheras grow best in full sunlight to light shade. Use light, well-draining soil with a pH between 5.5-7. Sandy soil works well for this plant. These plants do not require a lot of water and bloom better with soil that is on the drier side. Established plants should only need you to water them in times of drought. Hardiness zones range from 4-9.
