Buddleia
Buddleia, also known as the "butterfly bush", is a beautiful, fast-growing, deciduous shrub with masses of blossoms displaying in long, spiked trusses. It is a popular houseplant due to its attractiveness to butterflies and hummingbirds. These plants are rich in nectar and strongly scented.
Buddleias need full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Water freely when in growth and sparingly otherwise. Buddleias are drought-tolerant and can be grown without much supplemental watering once established. Since they bloom on new wood, even if there is no die-back, cut them back to the ground every spring. Hardiness zones range from 5-10.
